Huge thanks to the support crew behind the scenes for making this tournament happen. We were looking a little light for helpers for a bit, but our Upper Hutt football community turned up when it counted! It’s a mammoth task to put on this tournament, behind the scenes and on the pitch; so thanks folks, we just couldn’t do it without you. And apologies if I’ve missed anyone!

Special mention for our men’s third team coach Liam Weaver. Liam was supposed to be working all weekend but saw our SOS on FB and took the weekend off; reffing three games, and helping out at the grounds both Saturday and Sunday.

And of course, a massive thanks to Tournament Controller, Mark Ellis who somehow manages to bring it all together. He says it’s his final year, but we’ve heard that before 😉

Finally, thanks also to the teams who made the tournament possible. We hope you achieved what you wanted to over the course of the weekend and we wish you all the best for the National Champs in Napier at the end of the month.
