This year we have made a few changes to the prizegiving and scaling back the number of awards. We hope that parents and players feel we have a better balance and have taken into account feedback and the results from discussion at the Junior Committee Meetings.
Congratulations to all players for their energy and participation throughout the season.
Club Awards
There are two junior club awards which are not confined to individual grades and are open for nominations for coaches, managers or parents.
Southland Shield
This award can be given to anybody within the junior club [not a player] i.e. a parent/guardian that has been helpful/generous, a person who has served the junior club i.e. as Committee member/coach/manager, a sponsor who has been more than generous over a period of time.
There is one rule with this award – it can’t be won by the same person twice.
‘Adams Cup’ Coach of the Year Award
This award is for any junior coach or assistant coach and nominations are accepted from UH City Football parents/guardian (partners cannot nominate their partners). Please state a valid reason for the nomination which should include: * What makes this coach special? * How this coach has been an influence on their team/child? * Does the nominated show fair play, team spirit and has the respect of officials and the opposition * Has the nominated gone above and beyond to promote the club and inspire the future of football

Prizegiving to be held at the Turf as part of their last day of the season.
Finally…
Due to time restrictions we ask that during prizegiving the only awards that will be presented from the podium will be Club or Capital Football certificates/trophies. Any personal awards by coaches/managers to players or teams, should be done at the after award function or at a privately arranged function. Thank-you.
