Welcome

A very warm welcome to all the players, coaches, managers and supporters to the Parapine ITM 2017 Upper Hutt City Football U19 Bob Bamford Memorial Tournament.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the event, designed to assist teams in the lower North Island with their preparations for the National Youth Tournament in Napier at Labour Weekend.

We are of course, incredibly disappointed at having to cancel the Development Draw due to ground conditions.  It wasn’t an easy decision to make, but given the waterlogged and damaged state of the grounds at Awakairangi Park, we just didn’t feel it was in the best interests of everyone concerned to continue.

So turning our attention to this weekend’s action!

We’re looking forward to some very competitive matches and a demonstration of youth footballing talent from across the region. Please enjoy the games and support your team with passion, whilst respecting the laws of the game – and the referees!

Finally, a special thanks to our Upper Hutt City Football committee and support crew who put in countless hours to provide this quality event. And to our primary sponsor Parapine ITM, plus Upper Hutt Car Sales, Panhead, The Professionals, Naylor Love, Farrah’s and the Rimutaka Trust for their support.

Enjoy the tournament!

Jamie Wood, UHCF Chairman
