Junior Training and Grading

Welcome all new and returning players to the 2021 season!

Players in U9-U12 grades can opt to take part in grading if they would like to be considered for the top two teams in their grade.  These teams will be entered into the Premier Leagues within the Capital Football structure and play against the top teams from other clubs.  For U9 this is still a Hutt Valley competition only, for U10-U12 it is a Wellington regional competition.  These teams will also represent the club at various tournaments throughout the year.

Players that attend grading but do not get selected for the premier teams will be entered into teams that play in the Hutt Valley leagues.

More information can be found on the Grades 9-12 page of the club website.

In preparation for grading the club will hold 3 training sessions per grade.  These sessions provide the players a chance to get familiar with football again and will also follow a similar pattern, and exercises as the grading sessions.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your grading session starts to register and receive a numbered bib.

If a player can’t attend grading but would still like to be considered for the premier teams, please contact Glynn Paling on juniors@upperhuttcityfootball.org.nz to discuss.
