It was a stunning winter’s day on Saturday as our 14th grade Upper Hutt Lions kicked off our junior teams’ action at Maidstone Turf. Elsewhere across the 9th-14th grades, we had 16 wins, 10 losses, seven draws, five derby games, just one team had a “bye” this week and one result not reported at time of writing.
School Holidays
It’s business as usual 4th/ 5th July then a break over the middle weekend of the school holidays for our junior teams (including the U17s), then back in action 18th / 19th July. The season is expected to finish the final weekend of August (depending on cancellations).
There’s still time to register for the Capital Football ASB School Holiday Programme, run by Upper Hutt City Football, 6th-9th July. Just $25 per day, or $80 for the 4 days, that’s great value and a whole load of football fun! Open to 8-13 year olds, boys and girls and they don’t need to be current Upper Hutt City Football players.
