Come and Play for UHCF

  • Post category:Men

This year, Upper Hutt City Football will field 9 senior men’s teams, catering for every age and stage, including our newly promoted Central League side, the ever-young RJs in Masters and our up and coming talented youngsters in the U-17s competition.

Our Lotto Central League side has a slightly different look to the one which gained promotion at the end of last year (yep, new shirts!)   We are delighted to welcome a number of new players to our top team, including striker Luis Corrales, who joins us from Auckland City and more recently Team Wellington.  Prior to joining Team Wellington in January, Luis had spent two seasons playing for Auckland City in the ASB Premiership which included two stints in the FIFA Club World Cup.   Adam Church, a Central League veteran, also joins us and we’re delighted to welcome back Peter Howe (who had a year off in 2012) and Javier Montalba, a prolific scorer for us during the 2012 Premier League campaign.  There will still be some old familiar faces though and we are excited about our Upper Hutt youngsters who have progressed through the club and are looking to establish themselves in the top team this year.

We’re always keen to welcome new players though, particularly those who are capable of playing in our 3 competitive Men’s teams (Central League, Capital 2 and Capital 4) and in our U17s.   We’re also on the lookout for someone to assist our Director of Coaching with our Football for Schools programme.   Expenses and a car are provided in this role.

So whether you’re new to UHCF or keen to come home to your old club, we’d love to hear from you!
