What a way to top off what has been an incredible season for our Upper Hutt City Football women’s W League team!
Congratulations to Emma Main, Wendi Henderson and Sarah Gregorius who were all winners at the recent Capital Football Awards, winning Young Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and W League Player of the Year respectively. In a change to the usual format, Capital Football opened the voting to the wider Wellington football community so it is great to have their contribution to football recognised by their peers.
Well done also to Jamie Wood, a finalist in the Volunteer of the Year category.
