Upper Hutt City Football is one of the largest clubs delivering junior and youth football in the Wellington region, with approx 1000 players from ages 4-17 representing the club every weekend.
From First Kicks for the littlies just starting through to our Talent Development Programme squads, there are countless opportunities for young boys and girls at Upper Hutt City Football. Whether you want to play socially with your friends or push yourself to our top club teams, international honours or professional football, you will find a positive and nurturing environment with a coaching team that loves football as much as you do.
First Kicks – is for players turning 4, 5, 6 or 7 this year. Games are played on Friday evenings, at our home ground, Artificial football turf at Maidstone Park, Park Road (opposite Toa ITM). Visit the First Kicks page for more information.
U8-U9 grades – are for players turning 8 or 9 this year. Games are played each Saturday morning, with the majority played at our home ground Maidstone Park, but there may be a few times a year you will need to travel to Lower Hutt to play in an inter-club festival.

U10-U13 grades – are for players turning 10 to 13 this year. You can choose to trial for the top two teams in each grade or play in a social team, where teams are built using friend requests specified when registering, or based on which school players attend.

U14-U17 grades – are for players turning 14-17 this year. Players can chose to trial to play in the top team in each grade as part of the NZ Football framework "Talent Development Programme (TDP)". These teams play in the "Capital Development League (CDL)".
Alternatively, players can decide to play in a social team, which are formed based on friend requests specified during registration.

Upper Hutt City Football has Girls Only teams playing in Sunday competitions at U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17.
This allows our junior girls the option to play in Girls Only on Sunday morning, OR, play Mixed leagues on Saturday morning, OR, they can play in both Mixed AND Girls Only for no extra cost!
